South African Ice Hockey

The South African Ice Hockey Federation (SAIHF) is the National Governing body for ice hockey in South Africa. The SAIHF is certified by SASCOC and is also a member of the International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF).

Ice hockey is played in four regions in South Africa. These are Eastern Province, Gauteng, Kawazulu-Natal and Western Province. Each Province hosts leagues in various age groups for their respective provincial members. There are also National Leagues and competitions which take place on an annual basis for all age groups from u12 to Senior Level.

The SAIHF Executive Committee is elected in line with the SAIHF constitution in order to administer the sport. This committee is made up of one delegate from each Province, the President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, Treasurer, as well as other co-opted members.
